Fork & Flour is at 2750 Dundee Rd, Unit 4 — on the north side of Dundee Road, west of Waukegan and east of the Metra tracks. If you know Northbrook, we’re a few minutes from downtown, Northbrook Court, Techny, and the Metra station. Parking is free and directly at the storefront.

Coming from downtown Northbrook near Shermer and Cherry: west on Dundee, about 2 miles. From Northbrook Court: west on Lake-Cook, south to Dundee. From Techny: south a short stretch. Drive time from most of the village is 5–10 minutes.

What’s the best time to come in?

Weekday mornings (opening through 11 AM) and weekend afternoons tend to be the busiest for the pastry case. Weekday lunch (11–1:30) is peak for sandwiches and salads. If you want first pick of the day’s pastries, come early.

Do you have seating?

Our format is chef-driven takeout & patisserie, so we’re primarily a grab-and-go and pickup destination. Check the shop for current seating options.

Do you have gluten-free options?

Yes — a rotating selection of gluten-free items including our flourless chocolate cake and several tart options. Availability varies by day.

Do you take walk-ins for large orders?

For quick pickup (a few pastries, a sandwich, a to-go dinner), walk right in. For catering orders or 10+ items, please order online or call ahead so we can have it ready and prevent a wait.

How do you compare to other Northbrook bakeries?

Fork & Flour is different from most Northbrook bakeries in a few ways: our program spans breakfast, lunch, dinner packages, and full patisserie (not just bakery); everything is scratch-made in-house by two chefs (not commissary-supplied); and our pastry chef specializes in dairy-free technique alongside classical French.
